Good morning again Year 6!
We are once again foiled by the weather, but I hope you are enjoying this snow too - I'd love to see photos of snowmen and sledging if you want to send some through google classroom! Here is your work for today - give it your best go and contact me through Google Classroom if you want any help.
Hope to see you all soon!

School Closure Work - Wednesday 8th January 2025
Good morning Year 6! I hope you have all had a marvellous holiday - I'm so disappointed I haven't yet seen you in person, but I'm excited to see you all as soon as the weather starts to cooperate. In the meantime, have a go at the following tasks to prepare your brains to get back to school. Please contact me on google classroom if you need any help or aren't sure what to do. I'm really looking forward to seeing you all soon!
Mrs Horne 🙂
Maths: Lesson: Explain why the product stays the same when one factor is doubled and the other is halved
Maths Lesson
Writing: Recap of fronted adverbials: Lesson: Single words, phrases and clauses in fronted adverbials
Writing extension task - a free write based on the theme of snow! It can be a narrative, a poem, a fact-file, a diary entry - anything you like, as long as it's based on snow. I always love to see what you produce in free writing sessions! For an added challenge, use what you have practised to ensure that you use a variety of fronted adverbials in your writing - try not to start any sentences with 'I' or 'the'! If you want to illustrate and decorate your work, that would be fantastic.
